Sorry people, just look. No, I mean reaaaalllly look. This is pure automotive design heaven. It’s hard to believe that this futuristic specimen was originally launched in 1955, with its production run lasting until 1975! This is my favourite car of all time and I guess when you’re drawing your favourite car you probably spend … Read moreCitroen DS21
Ferrari have made some truly iconic cars over the years including many modern hypercars that exceed 200mph including the F40 and the Ferrari LaFerrari! But to me, the epitome of Ferrari design lies within the pure and simple curvaceous lines of the elegant 308, seen here in its GTS2 guise. The 308 was made famous … Read moreFerrari 308 GTS2
OK. OK. If one car did sum up the Boy Racer category in the late 70’s, then it has to be Ford’s RS2000, based on the ever so popular Escort MK2. With it’s distinctive “droop-snoot” it stood out from most other cars in its class. Teenage boys all over the country dreamt of owning one. … Read moreFord Escort MK2 RS2000
Continuing with the illustrations and sketches themes we have the Wedges collection. A couple of these on the main image above have been seen previously (The Countach and the Mercedes C-111). After realising that all three types (and variants) are on the same platform (2,400 mm / 94.5 inches) … Read moreVW Types 1, 2 & 3 (Dub Life)
Before I start, I have to say that I’ve never been a big fan of the 911 and all of it’s derivatives. Like a certain ex-Top Gear presenter, I see them as a big Beetle. I know there’s plenty of amazing engineering in them and also a great everyday drive for a sports car, but….. … Read morePorsche 911 GT3 RS
A very under-rated British classic which is now starting to become more popular. With a long production run from 1975 to 1996, plenty of these models are still around. Some much stronger than others! The wheels….the wheels were a nightmare, but luckily, much of the front wheel could be used for the rear. As this … Read moreJaguar XJS
How 80’s is this car? Very. The truly iconic Peugeot 205 GTI launched in 1984 adorned the walls of many a young lad. Today, it is still classed as a benchmark for newer “Hot-hatches”. For this drawing I tried to give it a more life like feel to it. After about 25 hours of work … Read morePeugeot 205 GTI 1.9
This one I’ve tried to keep a little more illustrative than realistic. Having said that, there’s plenty of detail in this one, especially in the lights which probably took more time than any other area. Hopefully the portrayal of speed is carried through into the final drawing.
