This one I’ve tried to keep a little more illustrative than realistic. Having said that, there’s plenty of detail in this one, especially in the lights which probably took more time than any other area. Hopefully the portrayal of speed is carried through into the final drawing.

Another one of my #MovieCars series. I’ve been meaning to do this one for a while, but it being black did put me off. Why? Because when drawing black cars, they’re seldom actually black, but more of greys and whites from the reflections of their almost mirror like surfaces. So, when I draw a black … Read morePontiac Firebird Trans-Am
The Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, was as it’s name suggests, based on the much maligned Talbot Sunbeam. Which to be honest wasn’t that good but after Talbot commissioned Lotus to develop a Rally Car (which won the 1981 WRC Championship) and the subsequent road going version. So Lotus threw in a 2.2 litre engine, stiffer sports … Read moreTalbot Sunbeam Lotus
Iconic, retro, cool, amazing. What can you say about this fantastic little motorcar? Another of my favourites and it was about time I did it justice and drew a half decent version of it. There will several versions of this in different colours. It will also be available as a T-Shirt too, available from the … Read moreFord Escort MK1 Mexico
Probably the most iconic of the Porsche range, the fabulously curvaceous 911. This drawing was based on official Porsche literature and I tried to give it that mid 80’s retro-graphics feel.
As part of my #moviecars & #tvcars series I felt obliged to draw the infamous Ford Gran Torino (aka the Striped Tomato) from the hit 70’s buddy cop series Starsky & Hutch. What was originally going to be a more simpler drawing, it soon dawned on my the amount of work that was needed to … Read moreFord Gran Torino
I don’t draw too many commercial vehicles. I don’t know why because many are beautiful creations. Take the Foden S20 for example, just look at that badge and grill and the brightwork. This drawing was inspired from a photogaph of a S20 by the name of Lazy Lucy. The original vehicle was heavy on the … Read moreFoden S20
The DeTomasoMangusta, the forgotten Italian supercar? This beauty was built between the years of 1967 to 1971 only and was replaced by the more famous Pantera.
I love the Countach, it’s up there in my Top 5, it’s just so iconic and personally still the car to judge all previous and new supercars against. A poster of Marcello Gandini’s design must have adorned the wall of many a young boy in the 70’s with it’s wedge shape and scissor action doors. … Read moreLamborghini Countach
